Man stabs three people at a Southern California hospital
The attacker remained inside as police tried to talk him into surrendering.
LOS ANGELES (AP) – Authorities say a man stabbed and critically injured a doctor and two nurses inside a Southern California hospital emergency ward and the attacker remains inside as police tried to talk him into surrendering. Los Angeles police say the man walked into Encino Hospital Medical Center shortly before 4 p.m. Friday and stabbed the three staff members.
The fire department says three victims were taken to a trauma center in critical condition, although later reports said they’re stable. Police say a SWAT team is on the scene.
