Man dies in Thunder Bay shooting

A man died in a shooting early Thursday in Thunder Bay.

It happened in the 200 block of Amelia Street West. According to a news release from the Thunder Bay Police Service, officers and paramedics were originally dispatched to the area on a report of shots possibly being fired.

First responders arrived on the scene to find a man who had sustained injuries from an apparent shooting. The man died at the scene.

Police said the man is 31 years old and from Thunder Bay. His family was still being notified as of Thursday morning.

Police had not announced any suspects or arrests in the case as of midday Thursday.
