The Duluth Huskies were unable to break out their offense Friday night in a top-ranked match against La Crosse.

The Loggers would get the best of the Huskies 6-0 in their series opener at Wade Stadium.

Kristian Campbell and Jared Mettam tallied Duluth’s only three hits of the game. Their series finale against the Loggers is set for 3:05pm in Duluth.

Earlier on Friday Campbell, a short stop, catcher Eduardo Rosario, and right handed pitcher Jake Christianson were named to the Northwoods League Great Plains Division All-Star team. Campbell and Rosario current lead the team in RBI with 28 each. Christianson boasts a 0.96 ERA over 14 games played.

They’ll represent Duluth at the All-Star game Tuesday, July 19th in Wisconsin Rapids. The roster was chosen in a vote by all 22 teams.
