Huskies’ hot streak snapped in series opener against Mankato

On Saturday the Duluth Huskies saw their two game hot streak snapped by the Mankato MoonDogs at Wade Stadium.

The Huskies dropped the series opener 6-3.

Offensively Duluth was led by Ambren Voitik with one RBI and two hits, while Michael Brooks tallied one RBI, one hit, and one run. Peyton Powell went 3-for-4 at bat.

On the mound Zach Statzer pitched six strikeouts for the Huskies.

Duluth (7-4) and Mankato (7-6) are set to close out their series Sunday at 1:05pm at Wade Stadium.
