Huskies can’t hold off St. Cloud in series opener

Despite taking the lead in the fourth inning, the Duluth Huskies would drop their series opener to the St. Cloud Rox 10-4 on Saturday in Duluth.

Calyn Halvorsen went 1-for-4 with one RBI, one hit and one run for the Huskies, while Ambren Voitik went 2-for-3 with one run and two RBI.

On the mound for Duluth, Oscar Lepe pitched seven strikeouts against 26 batters faced.

The Huskies (13-14) will look to split their series against the number one team in the Great Plains West on Sunday. First pitch against the Rox (22-7) is set for 1:05pm at Wade Stadium.
