At food banks like Second Harvest, they have seen their share of inflation. As families have come to get food assistance, they have seen an uptick in the number of families coming in over the past two months. Moving forward, they are anticipating more people to come.

The food bank is also having a hard time getting certain products on their doors, no thanks to those supply chain issues. “Meat has been hard to come by. "I think you know nationwide there have been supply chain issues, said Moris. It is more expensive, so we are doing our best to keep protein available for the families that we serve."

Shaye Moris is the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank Executive Director.

If you may be looking for any food assistance, Second Harvest Food Bank is there to help. They have their drive-thru food shelf program every Tuesday from 10-am to 1:30-pm.
