Despite a gritty first half the College of St. Scholastica (CSS) men’s basketball team wasn’t able to hold off league-leading Augsburg University (13-2) on Wednesday night.

The Saints trailed just 37-31 at halftime but would fall 84-63 at the end of the night.

CSS was led by Nick Carlson tallying 13 points, and Quinn Fischer and Jack Silgen each adding 12 points.

CSS (2-13) is next set to visit Saint John’s University Saturday. Tip-off is set for 3pm.
