Grand Rapids/Greenway skates past Duluth, into Section 7AA semifinals

The Grand Rapids/Greenway girls hockey team took down Duluth Thursday night in the Section 7AA quarterfinals at the IRA Civic Center.
The second seeded Lightning defeated the seventh seeded Northern Stars 4-2 to notch their second straight trip to the 7AA semifinals.
Mercury Bischoff tallied two goals and an assist for the Lightning while Grace Karakas and Alana Moline scored for Duluth. Bischoff now has 49 goals on the season with 92 career goals.
Grand Rapids/Greenway (18-8) advances to face third seeded Elk River in the semifinals Saturday at 5pm in Grand Rapids. For the full bracket, click here.
