Grand Rapids volleyball secures spot in Class AAA semifinals

On Wednesday the Grand Rapids volleyball team downed Monticello 3-1 in the Class AAA quarterfinals at the Xcel Energy Center.
The Thunderhawks dropped the first set 25-23, then rallied to win the next three straight 25-15, 25-13, 25-16.
Grand Rapids improves to 21-9 overall and advances to the semifinals where they’ll take on top-seeded Marshall. First serve is set for Friday at 5pm.
