Thursday golfers teed off in Minnesota’s own PGA Tour stop the 3M Open.

Prior to that on Wednesday the host course of TPC Twin Cities also held a Pro-Am where Minnesota Gophers football coach P.J. Fleck tried his luck on the links alongside former NHL players and Twin Cities natives Mark Parrish and Paul Martin.

"It’s unbelievable," Fleck said. "It’s different than your old municipal. The rough is a little bit different but I think it just gives you a complete respect for what they do and how they do it. The conditions like today, they have to play through them and score and win and hit good shots and handle the adversity that comes their way."

A fun event, the 3M Open is also a playoff push for bubble athletes with only three weeks remaining in the regular season. The tournament runs through Sunday.
