Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon Results
We have the winners in the 2022 Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon! Congratulations to Daniel Kemoi and Rosie Edwards. Kemoi, of Coon Rapids, Minnesota crossed the finish line with an unofficial time of 1:02:03. Kemoi is 35 years old.
"It was not too bad it was so cool. wind a little bit so it was so nice," Kemoi said about the race conditions.
Rosie Edwards lives in Scottsdale, Arizona and comes from the United Kingdom. The 33-year-old Edwards, crossed the finish line with an unofficial time of 1:12:45. She finished 67th over all the runners in the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon.
"I train in Arizona I live in Arizona so coming here and it being ike 70 degrees cooler was really nice. It was perfect running conditions, I think everyone took avantage of the day. I think the wind was behind us for a lot of the race as well and you really could get rolling," said Edwards.
Named after the first Grandma’s Marathon champion, the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon has now become one of the largest half marathons in the country, welcoming approximately 10,000 participants each year to the shores of Lake Superior.
The first Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon took place in 1991.
