Former Bulldog Brenden Kotyk named ECHL’s Stingrays interim head coach

The ECHL’s South Carolina Stingrays have named former University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) standout Brenden Kotyk as their interim head coach.
The hockey team announced they’ve immediately removed former bench boss Ryan Blair of his duties. The Stingrays are currently in last place in the league sitting at 18-30-6.
A defenseman, Kotyk skated for UMD from 2013-2017 before competing in the AHL and ECHL. He joined South Carolina in November 2020.
