First Mega Millions jackpot won in Minnesota

That’s a Mega-winning prize! Following Tuesday night’s drawing, Minnesota had its first Mega Millions jackpot winner. The winning ticket, purchased for the April 12th drawing matched the winning numbers, 02 – 08 – 14 – 20 – 31 Mega Ball – 17 to win the $110 million jackpot. That’s a $66.9 million cash option.
The jackpot-winning ticket was purchased at Holiday Stationstores, located at 14350 Xkimo St. in Ramsey. The store earns a $50,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Lottery officials say the final jackpot amount was higher than the initial estimate base on actual ticket sales, and the final Jackpot amount is approximate. The winner may choose to remain annonymous. Lottery officials say the names and cities of lottery prize winners above $10,000 is considered private data as of Sept. 1, 2021. Mega Millions jackpot winners have one year from the date of the drawing to claim the prize.
