Fire destroys lodge at Camp Sigel

Another fire in the Northland. This time, at Camp Sigel on Lake Esquagama near Biwabik.
According to the Northland Fire Wire, the main lodge was destroyed on Friday afternoon. One cabin also had some siding damage.
The call came out around 12:45pm.
Departments on the scene included Biwabik Township, Biwabik, Fayal Township, Palo, and Aurora.
The Minnesota DNR and a wildland firefighting crew from New Jersey are also on the scene as the fire spread into the nearby forest. A helicopter is also on the scene providing water drops to the wildland areas.

The website for Camp Sigel said there are three bible camps that take place there during the summer.
