Esko Public School shares updated COVID-19 mitigation strategies

With the start of school right around the corner, Esko Public Schools released updated COVID-19 mitigation strategies approved by the Board of Education.

According to the district, all students will attend school in person five days a week.

Face coverings will be required for all students on public transportation.

Additionally, face coverings will be required by students pre-K through 6th grade and the staff, visitors and volunteers who work with this population or students, regardless of vaccination status.

Meanwhile face coverings will be recommended, but not required for students and staff in grades 7-12.

Symptomatic students and staff will be required to wear a face covering and isolate while waiting to go home or visiting the nurse.

Esko Public Schools said they continue to follow recommendations from the Minnesota Department of Health and the CDC. They will adjust their plans accordingly if need be.
