Earlier in May, after 14 seasons as head coach of the Esko girls basketball team, Scott Antonutti announced his resignation. Then on Thursday the Esko Activities Director Chad Stoskopf named a familiar face as their next leader.

Sue Northey, the former head coach of Esko girls hoops, will now be taking back the program reins.

She spent 18 years behind the Eskomos bench compiling a 354-174 record, including six state tournament appearances. Northey stepped back in 2008 to follow her twin sons’ high school careers, but still stayed involved at lower levels outside of varsity.

Antonutti, with over 300 wins and three state appearances under his belt, is also stepping away to spend more time with family.
