Emergency detour lifted on Highway 210 in Cromwell

The detour in Cromwell has been removed, as workers finished up the emergency water main progect. Highway 210 has returned to its current construction traffic pattern with a single lane bypass controlled by signals. All residents and businesses have had their water restored.

The Highway 210/73 Construction project is expected to go through October. According to MnDOT, through traffic on Hwy 210 is reduced to a single lane controlled by a signal on in town. There will be no access to or from Hwy 73 at the intersection with Hwy 210. Motorists must use the posted detour.

According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, there will be a detour on Highway 210 in Cromwell today due to an unforeseen emergency water main repair. Through traffic will be flagged through North Alley and Burnett Road. Officials say drivers should expect delays.

Crews are working on the repairs and officials expect the job to be completed today.

Some residents and business will have their water service temporarily impacted.
