Duluth’s Welinski inks one-year deal with Flames

Duluth native Andy Welinski has signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Calgary Flames.

The defenseman appeared in 46 career games with the Anaheim Ducks over the past three seasons. He’s recorded one goal and added five assists. Welinski was originally drafted my the Ducks in 2011.

The former University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) captain has also played in 161 AHL games.
