Duluth Police respond to man with weapon at Kwik Trip

Duluth police have detained a man without incident after he entered Kwik Trip with a weapon.
Police responded to the call around 3:21p.m. at the at Kwik Trip on 27th Ave W. Officers then blocked off Michigan street and evacuated everyone inside the gas station.
The 29-year-old man did come out peacefully and was detained without incident, then he was transferred to a local hospital.
Police credit the The Tactical Response Team and the Crisis Negotiation Team for handling the incident quickly and safely
