Duluth officers arrest juvenile on 2nd Degree Murder Charges

Duluth Police Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Superior street Friday March 11th. And when they arrived they discovered a 19-year-old female unresponsive with injuries. Medical officials pronounced the female deceased on the scene.

Earlier police did respond to the same address that same day around 6:42 p.m. for a disturbance call where an adult male was alleged to be assaulted. But after arrival police determined there was no assault and they cleared the scene.

Upon further investigation of the deceased 19-year-old officers apprehended a 14-year-old male family member that was determined to be involved. The juvenile was lodged at Arrowhead Juvenile Center for 2nd Degree Murder and is waiting to be charged by the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office.

The Duluth Police Department will not be releasing the 19-year-old’s name at this time. And they state that this is an ongoing investigation.

The department’s condolences go out to the family, friends, and loved ones.
