Duluth Goat Hill home loses garage and car in structure fire

Around 8:20 p.m. Saturday evening, the Duluth Fire Department responded to the report of a structure fire on the 2200 block of West 10th Street. When crews arrived, they found a 24 x 28 foot one-stall detached garage that was fully engulfed in flames.

The garage was deemed a total loss. And during the time of the fire crews say there was a car in the garage which they were unable to move. Damage to the garage and its contents is estimated at $50,000.

No one was in the garage at the time of the fire and there were no injuries reported.

The Duluth Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
