Duluth East wins home opener triangular, Hibbing swims to second

On Saturday, the Duluth East girls swim team raced past Hibbing and Bloomington-Jefferson to take first in a varsity triangular.
The meet marked the home opener for the Greyhounds.
In the one meter varsity dive, Duluth East’s Elsie Zimpel finished second while Hibbing’s Sylvie Wetzel took third.
Bluejacket Bella Alaspa took first place in the 100 yard butterfly. In the 100 yard freestyle Greyhound Teagan Rudstrom beat out Hibbing’s Macie Emerson by under three seconds to claim first place.
