Duluth East golfer qualifies for state

Putting it all on the line for a chance to qualify for states as prep boys section 7 Triple-A tournament was held on Saturday, June 6th, at Grand National Golf Course in Hinckley.

Duluth East’s Ben Mertz took first place as an individual to qualify for states with a score of 147. He shot three over 36 holes for a combined score of 147.
