Duluth Superior Pride runs Thursday through Sunday.

It kicked off with a Mayor’s Reception Thursday evening at the Duluth Depot. The 2021 celebration is the Twin Ports’ 35th. The theme is "Back Together Again."

"There’s people that I only see during Pride festival because this is not just our locals. This is our tourists and people visiting. And it’s so fun to see the faces back together," Josh Miller, one of the organizers, said. "After having taken a year off, we can appreciate things that much more."

An art exhibition at the downtown branch of the Duluth Public Library also began in August. There was a "Meet the Artists" event Thursday afternoon.

Janelle Turner-Miller and Stacie Renne had several pieces on display and for sale there. They own Warrior Printress, a print shop based out of Lincoln Park.

"It’s an opportunity to show our work as well, so we’re really honored to be part of it," Renne said.
