Curler John Shuster to carry American flag at the Opening Ceremony

For the first time in Olympic history, a curler will carry the American flag at the Opening Ceremony.

And this year, it‘s the skip of Team USA, John Shuster.

Shuster has already brought home Olympic gold and bronze. This is his 5th games.

In a statement, he said, “Being elected as one of the flag bearers is a tremendous honor. When thinking back to my Opening Ceremony experiences, I cannot help but be so proud to lead Team USA into an Olympic Winter Games.”

The ceremony is Friday.
