This Veterans Day was special for former Captain Warren Johnson. Over an honor that is 15 years pass due.
The combat action badge was presented to former Captain Johnson by Congressman Pete Stauber for his honorary action during his time in the service.

Warren Johnson is a veteran of the Iraq war, having served in Baghdad during operation Iraqi Freedom.

"I’m just honored to be recognized among these ranks. I mean there’s stories in this room there are far greater than mine and involved doing a lot of things more sacrificially than I had to do. So to me having this award, it’s just an honor for me”, said Veteran Johnson. Deputy Johnson is thankful to everyone who helped to get this recognition complete.

The Combat Action Badge is a military award that is given to soldiers of the United States Army for their actively engaging or being engaged by the enemy and performing satisfactorily in accordance with the rules of engagement.
