St. Louis County Public Works is looking ahead to several 2023 road projects.

A community meeting was held Monday evening to discuss Morris Thomas Road reconstruction in Duluth.

That reconstruction is currently scheduled for next year between Haines road and Piedmont Avenue.

"We’re adding some street activated crosswalks to really let the vehicles know if people are crossing Morris Thomas Road and we’re going to narrow the roadway at some critical locations, lower the road to improve sight distance, as well as make the roads safer and better for all the users of the roadway,” explained Steve Krasaway, resident engineer with St,. Louis County.

A virtual public meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 12th from 6-8 p.m. to discuss the Woodland Avenue Project.
