On Friday the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) Commissioner Josh Fenton announced he’ll be stepping down at the end of the season.

Fenton is set to take over the same role in the Summit League as of April 11th, 2022.

In 2013 Fenton assumed the role as the NCHC’s second commissioner. Helping establish the league, he played a part in forming the Frozen Faceoff tournament, launching the first 3-on-3 overtime in Division I college hockey, and executing the NCHC Pod during Covid-19 shutdowns.
