Champions crowned at 7th annual Kraus-Anderson Bike Duluth Festival

The 7th annual Kraus-Anderson Bike Duluth Festival raced off Saturday at Spirit Mountain.

Racers participated in cross country, trail, enduro and downhill events. The festival also includes youth events.

New this year was the Friday night Chainless Downhill race, along with Saturday’s Partial Exposure (15-mile) and Northern Exposure (30-mile) trail races.

Duluthians Chase Sams and Lindsey Lee won the Partial Exposure with times of 1 hour six minutes and 53 seconds, and 1 hour 31 minutes and 55 seconds.

Erik Tonkin of Portland took the Northern Exposure title with a time of 2 hours 3 minutes and 54 second.

The festival wraps up on Sunday with a Powder Monkey: A Minnesota Mountain Bike Series Event from 9am to 3pm.
