Back at home: No. 9 UMD women’s hockey gets upset win over No. 2 Ohio State

The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) Women’s hockey team was back at home Friday night after eight games on the road taking on the Ohio State University.

A three goal first period by UMD would set the tone for the rest of the game.

Anna Klein lead the team with two goals, followed closely behind by Elizabeth Giguere and Naomi Rogge, each with one. During the win Klein would tally her 100th career point becoming the 22nd member of UMD’s exclusive 100 point club.

The Bulldogs will look to continue their winning ways with the rematch against Ohio State, Saturday at 3:01 p.m.
