Another fire burns in Northern Minnesota

Another fire was detected Wednesday afternoon in Northern Minnesota. Crews responded quickly to reports of a new fire near Britt. According to the Superior National Forest Facebook page, the Moose Lake Fire was estimated to be 25 acres in size and is located in the Lake Leander area.

Firefighters and seven different air craft, heavy equipment, and engines were called on scene. Officials say by 5:00 p.m. all aircraft except one helicopter have been released from the fire. A dozer is creating line around the fire to create a fuel break. Engines and water tenders will work throughout the evening.
