The American Indian Community Housing Organization (AICHO) held a food distribution event Wednesday afternoon in Duluth.

AICHO had two hundred pairs of bags that included shelf food, frozen meat, and cleaning supplies that were available to anyone who needed them for free.

The organization has been holding different events like this for around a year.

For Dominic José Bisogno, AICHO’S Food Distribution Coordinator, it has been a very rewarding experience.

“It’s been a really great opportunity for me to get to know people and help the community,” said Bisogno. “I appreciate that opportunity and I know that everyone else who works here does as well and it’s always great to see people be appreciative and get feedback and sometimes even advice of how we can improve things. So, we’re very glad we get to part of this community.”

AICHO holds the food distribution events bi-weekly and more information can be found here.
