On Christmas day, if you did not feel like staying inside all day with family and friends, there was one busy place. The movie theater parking lot was packed around two o ‘clock.

A few families are in town for many different reasons. There was one thing that they all had in common, going to the movie theaters to see one of the top new movies out right now.

"So, we came to Duluth from Brooklyn park to see the lights that were a first time for us. My daughter wanted to see spider-man, so it seems like a good thing to do," said Walter Blanks is visiting Duluth from Brooklyn Park, MN.

Duluth has a lot to offer people when they come and visit.
Coming to see a movie was not all that Brook Hecht and her family came to Duluth for this weekend. "Yesterday, we went snow tubing, and then we went down to go see the ships before going to Bentleyville. We went to Bentleyville last night and were coming to see the movies today."

When it comes to traditions, the Maras family goes to the theaters every Christmas day but did not go last year due to covid. This year, the tradition was back on and it felt so good!

Nick Maras said, "It’s great to go as a family! And on Christmas day of all times, when most people spend time with their families. I am very grateful that I have a family to spend it with and everything."

As you can tell, going to the movies on Christmas day is a tradition for some. For others, it was just something to do while stopping in Duluth.
