3 dead, 4 hurt in shooting at Mississippi New Year’s party
Police responded to 911 calls at 11:58 p.m. Investigators say one person was in critical condition after the shooting and the other three victims are expected to recover.
GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) – Investigators say three people were killed and four others wounded after several people at a Mississippi party started shooting just minutes before the end of 2021.
Gulfport Police Chief Chris Ryle says no arrests have been made and both witnesses and the victims aren’t talking to investigators.
Police say a fight started a Gulfport New Year’s party and people began shooting. The chief says more than 50 shots were fired from both pistols and assault rifles.
