Scattered showers return to the region today as a cold front gradually crosses. A few showers may escape ahead of the front, but the main band of precipitation will follow closely along it. This keeps the wet conditions mostly in northern Minnesota through the morning. Rain then reaches the Twin Ports in the early afternoon and continues to reach across the Arrowhead and northwest Wisconsin into the evening.

Rumbles of thunder and heavy rain are possible, but severe thunderstorms are not expected. Widespread accumulation will be near .25-.5″ with localized higher amounts. Our Tuesday is otherwise features increasing clouds, a southwest wind, and highs in upper 60s to mid-70s.

Clouds decrease tonight as rain moves east with patchy fog possible. Lows range from low to mid-50s. Wednesday will be breezy with times of sun and highs in low to mid-70s. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible. Accumulation will be minimal with the best chance for a couple tenths of an inch found near the international border.

Thursday will be cooler and breezy with isolated showers once again possible in the afternoon and evening. Highs will stay in mid-60s to near 70. Sunshine takes over Friday with a warming trend kicking in. Widespread 80s are possible this weekend with Sunday holding a chance for showers and thunderstorms.
