Sun will returned today ahead of out next weather maker set to begin Thursday afternoon and last through Saturday morning. Once again, it will be two waves but all part of the same system. A winter mix to snow is likely to start Thursday afternoon and evening. Winds will also begin to pick up by the evening hours. Slick travel is likely from the Twin Ports-south, including all of northern Wisconsin Friday morning. It looks as if these areas will get a break Friday before another round of heavier snow arrives Friday afternoon into Saturday morning.

As of now, the Twin Ports may see up to 3” of new snow but more is likely through east central MN and northern WI. Heavier amounts up to 6” is possible at this moment. There is still some uncertainty about the track too so many things can still chance. The weekend improves some but more snow is likely with a clipper Sunday into Monday. Starting Tuesday next week, another large Colorado low is possible and even bigger this weeks. So something interesting is coming again next week.
