It looks like we’re going to enter a busy stretch of weather. It’s not going to be anything huge but just chances of snow are possible over the next week. Little snowfalls are likely across most of the area with the best chance for moderate snow Saturday night into Sunday. Light snow along with gusty winds are expected to pick up around the region tonight. By Thursday afternoon, snow along with winds will increase south of the Twin Ports. Most of the snow at this point looks to be toward southern Minnesota and the Twin Cities tomorrow evening and Friday.

Road conditions will likely deteriorate toward the Minneapolis and St. Paul Friday. If traveling for the state tournament you may just want to stay in the cities Thursday night into Friday. Another round of heavier snow looks to arrive late Saturday into Sunday. A larger upper level low is expected to center itself on Minnesota so some heavier snowfall is likely. Now, this looks to be in the 3-6” range for the entire region. Warmer temperatures return by the middle of next week.
