Fun at the Depot for retiring Duluth teachers

The Duluth PTSA teamed up with the North Shore Scenic Railroad to provide a day of fun for retiring Duluth teachers and staff on Tuesday.

The day included a tour of the historic St. Louis County Depot and a train ride through Duluth towards the North Shore.

Stacey DeRoche, president of the PTSA Council, said the Railroad jumped at the opportunity to show their appreciation for teachers.

“It was it was wonderful to give them this opportunity to just relax and have a day for themselves,” DeRoche explained.

“I appreciate them a lot because we don’t get a lot of positive feedback from other people in the city as teachers and this is great the Depot is stepping over beyond what’s normal,” said retiring science teacher John Rudolph.
