The branch in the Kenwood Shopping Center has been in service for 28 years. The new sign was put up in their new location in the Kenwood Village Complex on Friday.

According to a press release, the credit union was founded in 1933 by a group of Duluth Educators that first served ISD 709 employees and their families. Their membership was expanded to include anyone living in the Duluth, Hermantown and Proctor areas and eventually included South St. Louis, Carlton and Douglas Counties as well.

“Members response to the new name has been very positive," Brian Thompson, Marketing/Communications Director for the credit union said in the release. "By selecting this new name, we are making a big investment in our future and have provided a strong foundation for credit union growth for many generations to come.”

The branch has locations in Downtown Duluth, Kenwood and Miller Hill.
