Burnett County Sheriff Tracy Finch says a 911 caller reported the situation at about 4 a.m.  Authorities say the juvenile threatened to use a gun on a passerby who had stopped to see if the juvenile needed help.

According to a news release, the suspect took over the passerby's vehicle, threatened to shoot the vehicle owner and law enforcement, and moved the vehicle several times. Law enforcement was eventually able to stop the vehicle and take the suspect into custody without incident.

The age, gender, hometown, and name of the suspect have not been released.

Numerous departments assisted, including the Burnett County Emergency Reponse Team, Wisconsin State Patrol, St. Croix Tribal Police, Siren Police, Grantsburg Police, and North Memorial Ambulance.
