COVID-19 testing events are scheduled for Ironwood on Wednesday, Aug. 12, and Cable on Friday, Aug. 14.

The Ironwood event will be held at the Irowood Public Safety Building, 123 West McLeod Avenue, on Aug. 12 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Testing will be available to anyone, with no pre-registration requirement, no insurance needed, no prescriptions needed, and no doctor's order needed.

The Cable event will be held at the Cable Community Center, 13660 County Highway M, on Aug. 14 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.  Optional pre-registration is available at register.covidconnect.wi.gov or by calling the Bayfield County COVID-19 Hotline at 715-373-3324.

Testing for the Cable event is preferred to be for people showing COVID-19 symptoms and people who have had close contact with COVID-19 patients. Testing will be first-come, first-served.

The Cable event is being conducted with assistance of the Wisconsin National Guard.
