The Bayfield Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Bureau announced in June that the 59th Annual Bayfield Apple Festival would be canceled for  due to concerns about the coronavirus pandemic. It was a difficult decision but the safety of Bayfield area residents, employees and visitors was top of mind.

Now that the leaves are changing and the first weekend in October draws near, many are thinking about the delicious treats of the Bayfield Apple Festival. Even though the event is canceled, you can still enjoy your favorite Bayfield apple treats, while helping out local businesses.

The Applefest Box from Bayfield Foods Cooperative will be available through the month of October, while supplies last. It can be shipped to your home in Wisconsin or Minnesota. The box is customizable with a variety of apples, preserve choices, and baked goods.

Each Applefest Box contains:

  • 5# of Bayfield apples
  • 1/2 gallon of fresh-pressed Bayfield apple cider
  • 1 jar of apple preserves
  • 1 apple pie or 4 caramel apples (your choice)
  • Applefest granola, oatmeal, or pancake mix (your choice)

You can also add additional Bayfield specialties for an extra cost.  Visit their website for more information

There are a limited number of boxes available at $59.99 each. Go to bayfieldfoods.org to customize your
box and place an order.

Profits from the Applefest Box will support the local orchards and food producers in the area including Bayfield Apple Company, Hauser’s Superior View Farm, Sweet Sailing, Wild by Nature Deli and Starlit Kitchen, Bodin Fisheries, Spirit Creek Farm, and Happy Hollow Creamery.

The Bayfield Chamber & Visitor Bureau says the next Apple Festival on October 1–3, 2021.
