Travel is slick this morning with DOT reporting snow covered roads across much of Northeast Minnesota. Icy conditions may develop in parts of Northwest Wisconsin where rain fell as temperatures drop below freezing.

Snow tapers off west to east through the morning. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for Ashland and Iron Counties in Wisconsin until noon. Up to an additional inch is possible after 9 a.m. along with winds gusting up to 35 mph.

Clouds break up in the afternoon with temperatures reaching for around 40 to assist with melting. A breezy northwest wind remains through the day. Clouds return in the evening as another cold front passes. This may stir up scattered light snow showers with the best chance across the Arrowhead, but only a dusting is expected.

School Alert Closings: This list will be updated as the situation warrants.
