Updated: January 18, 2020 09:17 PM

Travel remains difficult for much of the Northland today with linger snow showers and blowing and drifting. A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 9 pm. The WDIO Storm Team says the Bayfield Peninsula and east along the South Shore of Lake Superior could still see significant accumulation through the weekend. A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect in this location until noon Sunday.

The snow will continue to improve for many of us on Saturday, but the winds will continue to pick up as a cold front sweeps the region. Gusts 30 to 40 mph will lead to blowing and drifting snow, even after accumulating snowfall wraps up.
