"The purpose of doing these free clinics at the store would be to educate the kids and also the parents on basic things that are going to be needed out on a mountain bike ride," David Neustel said. Neustel is the store manager of Ski Hut and an avid mountain biker.

He says the clinics they offer they cover anything from safety tips and proper fitting of helmets, to what you should eat and drink to keep you energized as you climb the Duluth Hillside.

"We will have different workshops, you know one day we will talk about simple repairs on the bike, and how to do that," Neustel said. "One day we will do nutrition and hydration clinic and we will also do a fitting of bicycles and bicycle equipment."

So if you are interested in taking advantage of this free opportunity to brush up on your biking skills, mark your calendars for June 11th, July 1st, and July 22nd. The clinics will be held at Ski Hut's Eastside store 6:30pm to 7:30pm on those evenings.

"We just want to make sure that from a young age that these kids are out having a good time, they are safe, and they are going to be able to enjoy the sport for a long time to come," Neustel said.

And if you are looking for more information on these bike clinics you can check out Ski Hut's Facebook page, or you can come by and pick up a flyer at the store.

Neustel says he and the rest of his crew are very excited for this opportunity to help kids make the most of the trails Duluth has to offer.

"We are in such a great place with all these trails around town that having these kids take advantage of what we have is going to be really important."
