Record low temperatures are possible tonight across the region. The WDIO Storm Team says if you have put plants out, you will want to cover or bring them inside. High pressure will settle over the Northland and clear skies will prevail. Temperatures will drop into the low to mid-teens in the northern portion of our viewing area, and low to mid-20s for the rest of the region.

According to the National Weather Service, the record low for May 11 is 24 degrees, set in 1946. Hibbings record is 20 degrees set in 1996.

Sunshine will return on Tuesday as warmer air tries to return to the Northland. The high temperature on Tuesday will be in the low to mid-50's.
