Portions of the Lester River Trail will be closed for maintenance beginning Tuesday, May 4. According to Duluth Parks and Recreation, the section is part of the Duluth Traverse multi-use hiking and mountain biking trail that parallels the Lester River. This section will be closed for maintenance beginning Tuesday, May 4th through June 1st.

City officials say Amity East and Amity West multi-use trails will remain unaffected by this closure.

Trailhead parking will remain open and signage for the closure area will be posted at affected trails.
