Arctic air has settled into the Northland, and we still have a couple more days of dangerous cold. Overnight lows will be in the negative teens to the negative 20s. Wind chill values will be in the -30s, but we will see some areas in the Iron Range and further north have wind chills in the -40s.

Monday will have afternoon highs ranging from -6 degrees in Bayfield to -19 degrees in Bemidji. Wind chill values will stay in the -30s throughout the day.

Below-zero temperatures will continue through Tuesday with more cold air entering from Canada. Wind chill values will be between -35 and -45 degrees on Tuesday.

The persistent northwest winds will result in lake-effect snow for the South Shore, especially near the Apostle Islands. A few inches of accumulation is likely for the Bayfield Peninsula over the next two days.

We will finally get relief from the brutal wind chills on Wednesday. Temperatures will warm to the teens (above zero). There is a chance of light snow Tuesday night into Wednesday morning with around an inch of accumulation possible. Temperatures will warm to the low 20s by next weekend.
