Warm and dry conditions will persist for the next few days, with the fire weather risk remaining extreme. The vast majority of Minnesota, as well as northern Wisconsin and the U.P., is under a Red Flag Warning until 10 pm tonight. Overnight lows will be mostly in the 60s, and the southerly breeze will continue through Tuesday.

Monday will be sunny with afternoon highs in the 80s to low 90s again. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for Monday for northeast Minnesota, while northern Wisconsin is under a Fire Weather Watch.

The weather pattern will start to shift on Wednesday as the Rex Block breaks down. Rain chances return Wednesday evening, becoming widespread by Thursday morning. There may be a break in the rain midday Thursday, but we will get over half an inch of rain throughout the area by the time all is said and done Friday night.

Temperatures will be cooler by the end of the week, with highs back in the 50s to low 60s starting on Friday.
