January 19: Staying below zero

Temperatures will be below zero until Wednesday.

Bitter-cold temperatures will continue for the next few days. Today will be partly cloudy with afternoon highs in the negative single digits. Wind chill values will be -20 to -30 and drop even more tonight. Overnight wind chills as low as -50 are likely tonight.

Portions of northern Minnesota will have highs in the negative teens on Monday. Tuesday will have highs near zero, and then on Wednesday, we will have temperatures return to the teens above zero.

Extra caution is advised during this bitter-cold stretch. Bundle up, limit time outside, and bring pets indoors.
